35 schools of Spain had been visited by El Proyecto Brocolín , an educational action organize by Sakata. The aim of this programs is encourage children and family to have a healthy diet. Have been a great year, in consequence of it they are developing some activities, as the launch of a jingle, star by the pet of the project.
This is an initiative from Sakata Seed Ibérica, a seed enterprise focused on the research, production and distribution of vegetable seeds, business to business in Spain and Portugal. This is an activity include in a platform, Brócoli Pasión, what take part of the corporate spcial responsability of the organization.
During the development of the activity, the sudents from 1st to 3rd of Primary, learn about the importance of a healthy diet while they are playing and reading. Also they can discover a broccoli, touching, smelling and observing head of it. The activity is coordinated by the team of hte projcet and Brocolín, the star of the class. The most interesting think of this kind of action, is that goes beyond the class, during the activity children are encourage to cook some broccoli recipe with their families. This years, thanks to the collaboration of Agropaco and moreover Grupo Lucas, 4000 heads of broccoli had beed distributed around Sevilla, Jaén, Valencia, Alicante, Gandía and Tomelloso.
Additionally, today premiers an audiovisual piece, starts by Brocolín. It consist in a music video which aim is become an motivational instrument destined to children. Using a funny and memorable way the jingle explains the benefits of the broccoli and encourage children to become their friends.
Brocoli Pasión works to produce a change in the children, with the aim of improve their eating habits. From our point of view, children are an important focus, because of if we take action today, we will improve the present and future health of the society.
