Legal affairs and Internal audit Coordinator

[Full-time] Permanent position in France





European Sakata Holding (ESH) is a corporate entity in charge of providing governance, shared services and key projects management capacity for Sakata’s vegetables and ornamentals seeds activities across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) area. To support our steady growth over the last years, we are strengthening our team by creating this position among the EMEA Information & Corporate Projects department.




Under the direct supervision of the EMEA Information and Corporate Projects Director, you will operate at the ESH level. Working with all vegetables and ornamentals Sakata EMEA teams, third-party legal experts, contractors and consultants, your main responsibilities will be to:

  1. Legal affairs coordination :
  • Gather legal advises requests from our subsidiaries and work with external partners to provide relevant answers
  • Coordinate and follow-up all corporate level legal actions between our external partners and our business functions
  • Manage corporate level documentation for legal and internal audit aspects, including important contracts with our distributors, customers and partners
  • Write and keep updated internal procedures of the department
  1. Internal audit :
  • Organize and execute the internal audit plan for EMEA: master plan, mission, report and yearly update
  • Suggest recommendations, propose and follow up internal audit actions plans

Most of the tasks and documentation will be conducted in English. This position requires to travel regularly in the EMEA region and other SAKATA regions up to a maximum of a third of the working time.




Fluency in English is mandatory (oral and written) and any additional language is a plus (French particularly).

A master degree level in law (international trades and business) is preferred and a first experience as legal officer for a midsize international company, ideally with exposure to Intellectual Property Rights issues, will be an advantage.

The position requires an important autonomy level, good organizational skills and business oriented mindset.

You will have an excellent ability to analyze, summarize and provide valuable feedback along with the capacity to communicate and work across disciplines in a multicultural environment.

You also have an efficient use of office automation tools.
